The state-owned company, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, aka BSNL, was started on 15th September 2000. BSNL, the major government-operated company, was incorporated by the Department of Telecommunication and Ministry of Communication on 1st October 2000.


Presently, the company has more than 120 million active subscribers across India. BSNL takes the initiative to provide the best services at minimal cost for its users. The company offers its mobile prepaid and postpaid services, i.e., 2G, 3G, and 4G, with India’s roaming services.

BSNL was the first company that made incoming roaming charges free across the country.

BSNL PREPAID SERVICES

In late 2002, BSNL launched its mobile GSM prepaid and postpaid services under CellOne with all 22 telecom circles and access to International roaming services with more than 300 network providers worldwide.

Later in 2010, BSNL started its 3G services across Pan India. BSNL can now provide mobile services in Mumbai and Delhi without roaming after the successful merger with MTNL in 2019. The company is starting rolling out the 4G services with its 5 Mhz spectrum.

BSNL BROADBAND SERVICES

BSNL is most popular for its wireless and broadband network services in India. The company had launched its broadband services on 14th January 2005.

BSNL currently offers the DSL broadband line across more than 190 cities in India. Competing with Reliance JioFiber, Airtel Xstream Fiber broadband, and much more, BSNL brought cheap broadband plans to the market.

ALL OTHER SERVICES

Apart from the above services, BSNL brings the Landline, BharatFiber (FTTH), and BSNL Wing services to the Indian telecom market. BSNL started taking Landline, FTTH broadband registration, and its Internet Telephony (VOIP) as Wings through the BSNL self portal.

BSNL Landline is the largest fixed-line telephone connection in India. It has over 10.41 million customers and a 49.34% market share in the country.

BSNL Mobile Prepaid Review

BSNL has launched aggressive new prepaid and postpaid recharge plans this year for all the users in India. The company provides low-cost unlimited recharge plans for every customer and the cheapest international roaming recharge packs among all other telecom providers in India.

As of 31st January 2021, BSNL reached a subscriber base of 122.10 million and became the 19th largest telecommunications network worldwide. As the 4th largest telecom sector, BSNL always tries to provide its best service to the users.

Because of that, BSNL has designed a comprehensive range of perfect recharge plans for every customer. BSNL prepaid recharge plans start with just Rs. 10 and span up to 6000, including full talk time recharge packs with lifetime validation. And the cheapest roaming plan is Rs. 57, which comes with 30 days of validity.

Apart from that, BSNL offers unlimited voice calling from BSNL to BSNL and other networks and unlimited internet data with free SMSs starting at Rs. 398. Along with all unlimited recharge plans, BSNL offers PRBT services absolutely free of cost.

BSNL is now rolling out its 4G services and the LTE support using its 60% existing networks across India. Yet in most of the areas, 4G services have not arrived. Because of that, the reviews of prepaid users are not so satisfactory.

Though the 2G and 3G prepaid affordable recharge plans and the network services are excellent in every corner, the review states that the 2G and 3G prepaid users are happy with the services provided by BSNL.

PRBT stands for Personalised Ring Back Tunes. BSNL offers to its users the PRBT services in which users can change BSNL caller tunes unlimited times. It only comes with unlimited recharge plans.

BSNL has the cheapest starter pack when it comes to postpaid recharge plans. BSNL offers Rs. 199, which comes with 3hr 30 minutes of voice calling, 25GB 2G/3G internet data, and 100 SMSs daily for 30 days. BSNL Broadband Review

BSNL broadband plans are the most reliable and cheap of all other broadband service providers. If you choose BSNL broadband services, the broadband plans start at just Rs. 299, which offers you up to 20 Mbps unlimited internet speed for 30 days validity. It is the cheapest broadband plan of BSNL.

There are more affordable, cheaper packs available when it comes to ADSL plans. At Rs. 369, you can activate up to 8 Mbps internet speed and 2GB/day unlimited data per month; in this plan, if you want to download anything, the speed will be up to 125 kbps and free night calling from 10:30 pm to 6 am, and 24 hours unlimited calling on Sunday.

After the JioFiber launch, BSNL has also introduced its FTTH Bharat Fiber broadband plans to the market. As per FTTH plans, at a minimum monthly rental pack of Rs. 499, you will get 30 Mbps high-speed unlimited data with a FUP limit of 3300 GB.

BSNL has no Gigabit plans yet. So, most of the users are switching to different broadband services. But the company will come with more broadband high-speed plans in the near future.

BSNL has the lowest-cost plans for every service among other networks. BSNL prepaid talk time recharge starts at just Rs. 10, and unlimited voice calling recharge comes at Rs. 147 for 30 days. It is the cheapest unlimited plan till now.

The same thing applies to broadband services. BSNL gives the highest benefits at a low cost that is ultimately budget-friendly and affordable to anyone. The lowest BSNL broadband plan is Rs. 299, which offers up to 20 Mbps internet speed and unlimited data for 30 days.
