Meta Unveils Its First Stand-Alone Office In Asia

Meta opens doors to a technological revolution. The first office opening at Gurugram. State of the Art technological workspace with an innovative design reflecting cultural richness.


Meta, previously known as Facebook, takes a stride ahead by opening its first office in Asia. The office has been inaugurated at the CyberHub in Gurugram. It is an artistically designed open plan of around 130,000 square feet constituting six majestic floors.

What’s Special About This Office

The Gurugram office is designed to accommodate and develop creativity at its best. According to the officials from Meta, the space will house a whole bunch of business entrepreneurs who are striving to bring a change for the betterment of the country. The new office is going to rocket the brand reputation by including the “Centre for Fuelling India’s New Economy”. The office will be the centre of action for employees from Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.

Ajit Mohan, Vice-President and Managing Director, Facebook India (Meta), said, “We see this office as an opportunity for us to build a space that will house our largest team in the country. The office will be open to anyone who is driving change — be it creators, small business owners, entrepreneurs, artists or community leaders. The spaces here will see directed, purposeful efforts from Meta to fuel their pursuits, ideas and ambition. That is why we are embracing the ambitious goal of training one crore small businesses and 250,000 creators,” he said.

The new office will be focused on expanding horizons in the field of AR & VR (augmented reality and virtual reality). The aim is to incorporate the usage of such technological advancements into various sectors of public life. The benefits bestowed by such features will completely change the phase of education, health care, commerce and of course business establishments.

The inaugural function was chaired by Shri Rajeev Chandrashekar, Honourable Minister of State For Electronics & IT.

While there will always be a debate about user harm, and all of the proliferation of problems that are created by the expanding internet, we must focus on keeping the internet open, safe and trusted and accountable in all ways and for all Indians, Shri Rajeev Chandrashekar said.

We are certainly in for a technological revolution with the advent of Meta’s new initiative. India is yet to see the expansion plans behind the curtains.
