On December 22, 2021, Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s post-credit rolled, and there came the Ultimate Christmas gift for all the MCU fans from Marvel, as they released the trailer of Doctor Strange in Madness of Multiuniverse.

Fans panicked when the sequel went through reshoots in November and December 2021. However, Benedict Cumberbatch clarified that the reason for the delay was to improve what they have and shoot some of the scenes which were difficult during COVID.

Initially, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was all set to release in March 2022. But it was then postponed to May 2022 after Disney and Marvel passed Phase 4 shake-up. At least that’ll provide them with a tad more time to ensure it’s as pleasing as its fans anticipate it to be.

Composer Danny Elfman declared that he will include themes created by Michael Giacchino from the earlier film Doctor Strange (2016). Additionally, Giacchino referenced themes earlier penned by Elfman in the earlier Marvel Studios movie Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a forthcoming superhero film, created on the Marvel Comics superhero with the exact name. The movie is a sequel to Doctor Strange, Avengers: Endgame, WandaVision, and Spider-Man: No Way Home as well as a crossover to Loki’s first season.

Cumberbatch, Ejiofor, Wong and McAdams are all repeating their characters from the previous movie.

Cumberbatch has last appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and he’ll play two characters of Doctor Strange in the sequel. As mentioned above, he’ll be recreating Doctor Stephen Strange and his evil counterpart.

Benedict Wong is also back as Wong, Strange’s most delegated friend and a fellow wizard who assists save the universe from supernatural menaces.

Chiwetel Ejiofor repeats his part as the vicious Mordo, who was last glimpsed in Doctor Strange’s post-credits scene. McAdams reprises the part of Christine Palmer.

Olsen will co-star along with Cumberbatch as Scarlet Witch, and she’ll play a significant part in the movie’s plot. The only revealed newbie so far is Gomez as America Chavez, who also runs by the alias Miss America.
