Check MNP Status Online & Know the Rejected Reason If not Activated

MNP Status: MNP is the mobile number porting facility available in BSNL. To switch the mobile number from one network to another. BSNL made the MNP facility check online. Whether the request for porting number is accepted or rejected. If in case the request gets disapproved, then the reason for rejection also comes to know.

The telecom companies are under the supervision of TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India).

How to check the MNP status

The process to check the mobile number porting online is very simple. We have got multiple ways to check the status from Mobile SMS and contact customer service.

Note: The customer who had done posting for new service, will not be able to do posting for the next 3 months. Also, the present mobile number will get locked for the next 3 months.

Mobile Number Porting Status Online Process

There is no such portal specially developed for checking MNP status. Customer can approach the nearest customer service centre or franchise or operator to check the live status.

MNP Status using Customer Care

To check the MNP status, call from a present service provider and get connected. The customer needs to provide the UPC code to the representative. The representative will give you the current status. If rejected, also rejection reason came to be known to us.

UPC code time

Customer will get the UPC code if he applies for number switching. UPC code is given to service provider with KYC documents for the activation process. It will take nearly 3-5 working days to change mobile service. To get the UPC code to send the SMS as 1900.

  1. Can I withdraw my Mobile Number Porting Request?

Yes, customer can able to withdraw the mobile number porting request. If UPC code is generated and approved from the new service provider then there is no chance for reverting the request.

2. What to do if lost my Unique Porting Code?

If lost don’t worry, customer can send the PORT SMS as 1900 and existing UPC code can send as a reply.

3. How Long Will It Takes to Complete the Total Mobile Number Porting process?

The official process takes 4 working days from the day the Customer has provided their UPC code to the New Service Provider.

KYC documents requested need to be submitted and only then the process to change Service Provider will start.
