PAN India, BSNL itself simplified the 4G SIM up-gradation process on replacement of 2G/3G SIM mobile service. The preformat SMS step to validate through OTP. Within a few minutes, BSNL 4G SIM up-gradation is done.

Steps to be followed for BSNL 4G SIM upgradation
Step 1: BSNL empty SIM is handover to customer for checking network connectivity. Bharat sanchar soft database.
Step 2: Customers need to send 2 SMS from the existing BSNL mobile number. To initiate the SIM up-gradation process and for conformity.
First SMS
RE4G <space >6 digits / 12 digits / 19 digits SIM number <space> Circle short code

After sending this first SMS, an acknowledgement SMS will be received by Customer for BSNL 4G SIM up-gradation from BA CYMN. Confirm his SIM swap request through the second SMS to proceed for SIM replacement.

Step 3: RespectiveZonal sancharsoft dataset will complete BSNL up-gradation process through the billing system.
Step 4: The call service will be activated on new 4G SIM within 24 hours.

BSNL 4G SIM swap process initiated by CSC/Channel partner based on Customer request
Step 1: From CSC/channel partner, SIM will be handover to customer.
Step 2: The salary entry in sancharsoft or sanchar Aadhar App.
Step 3: The pre-formatted SMS will be send by CSC to customers to ensure the SIM swap request.
Step 4: In return customer has to resend the pre-formatted SMS from working BSNL SIM.
