The Witcher Season 2 Plot

Not satisfied with extending the Witcher series and developing an animated film, Netflix has now greenlit a prequel series investigating the history of the first Witcher.

The story is based 1,200 years earlier in Geralt of Rivia, where the realms of monsters, mankind, and elves intermingled, resulting in the birth of the first Witcher.

Lauren Hissrich, who is also the showrunner for The Witcher, is co-creating it along with Declan de Barra, who wrote one episode in the very first season. The series would consist of 6 episodes.

Jodie Turner-Smith was recently cast as the primary character Éile, who has abandoned her job as an elite fighter to pursue a career as a wandering singer.
