After the disbanding of the Fellowship, Frodo keeps going on his adventure with his faithful friend Sam and the sinister Gollum. Meanwhile, Aragorn, Gondor’s exiled inheritor, joins forces with Legolas, Pippin, Boromir, Gimli, Merry, and the wizard Gandalf to provide liberty to the Free Peoples of Middle-earth from the army of Sauron and rally all in the War of the Ring to help Frodo by diverting Sauron’s attention away from Frodo.

Background of Lord Of The Rings
The Lord of the Rings, J.R.R. Tolkien’s epic high fantasy work was eventually adapted into a trilogy. The plot began as a sequel to Tolkien’s earlier fantasy novel The Hobbit but quickly expanded into something far more. The Lord of the Rings is set in what the author imagined as the actual Earth’s lands, inhabited by humans, but set in a mythical past, before our history but after the collapse of his version of Atlantis, Nmenor. This was later made into a trilogy of films.
J. R. R. Tolkien found the spark of inspiration for The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings during a year-long recovery in Yorkshire from trench disease developed in the terrible mud-filled landscape of World War I France.
While the war raged on in another country, Tolkien and his wife, Edith, sought refuge in a beautiful “woodland glade” in Yorkshire. Edith began to dance in the trees for Tolkien, powerfully imprinting the moment in Tolkien’s consciousness.

Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power – Story
The Rings of Power is an epic drama series set as a prequel to J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings that will premiere on Amazon Prime Video.
The project is Amazon Studio’s first attempt at a big-budget fantasy series in the vein of Game of Thrones. According to Vanity Fair, The Rings of Power is likely to be the costliest show in television history, costing at least $1 billion to produce over five seasons.
According to the title release, the series will be set thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and will cover the making of the 20 rings of power (three for elven monarchs, seven for dwarf lords, nine for mortal men, and one for the Dark Lord).
As with any authority, it corrupts the minds of those who wield it, and after a period of quiet, evil returns to Middle-earth. The series is also expected to include renowned LOTR locations such as the Misty Mountains and Lindon, the elf capital.
Since the series is set before J.R.R. Tolkien’s trilogy, fan-favorite characters Bibo, Frodo, Gimli and Aragorn aren’t even born yet in the current setting.
You can expect epic battles between Sauron’s and Elves’ forces to decide the fate of Middle Earth. The age will come together towards it ending in a final battle between an alliance of men and elves against Sauron, which is portrayed in the opening sequence of the teaser.
