RailTel has surpassed all expectations with a stunning growth curve in recent times. Despite the pandemic, this Central Public Sector Enterprise has turned the tables around by organised and efficient planning cum execution.

While the private telecos have been working their way out of the tough grind in the past two years, Railtel has managed to maintain their equilibrium and steadily capture the hearts of the subscriber market.

Consolidated Income The company is on a winning spree and has achieved a huge turnover encompassing Rs 474.15 crore income in Q3 in FY22. This is literally huge when compared to the Rs 381.09 crore consolidated income earned in Q2 of FY22.

RailTel is striving to achieve excellence with a 360-degree field of vision, not only focussing on revenue growth but also paying attention to intricate details like customer service, employee welfare etc. This is evident from the fact that the company bagged 7 prestigious awards for their exemplary work performance in 2021.

Total Revenue With sheer determination and hard work, Railtel has posted Rs1,140 crore total revenue in just 9 months of the running financial year, which comes to 17.28 % compared to the same term in FY 20-21.

“We are doing fairly well in this weak market scenario and have been posting profit consistently. If I compare the first nine months result of the current FY with FY 20-21, our PAT has grown by 34.78 per cent and EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest Tax Depreciation and Amortization) by 17.82 per cent. Right now, we have a very healthy order book of over Rs 5,400 crore which will translate in our books in the coming quarters in a phased manner,” Puneet Chawla, Chairman and Managing Director of RailTel said.

The plans to keep up the exceptional work don’t end there. Sri Puneet Chawla has revealed that the company is moving ahead to focus more on digitisation as it is the new trend that will soon become the mode of survival for the telecom industry.

“We are also focussing on our network and infrastructure expansion and upgradation. This will help us expand our clientele as well serving the excising ones better. We have been maintaining positive results despite three waves of pandemics since 2020. We are confident about continuing this momentum in future as well,” he said.
