New prepaid plans: Jio, Airtel, Vi, and BSNL Announce 30 days Prepaid Tariffs

The increasing growth of the Telecom Industry in India in the last decade is quite surprising, making it the second-largest in the world. India’s top four mobile network operators are Jio, Airtel, VI (Vodafone and Idea), and BSNL.

Mobile network operators provide cellular voice, data services, and wireless communications to customers. To be at the top of the industry, operators often offer new prepaid plans to customers at timely intervals. This helps them to retain existing users and attract new customers.

The telecom industry has a base of 1.18 billion subscribers in India as of 31st March 2021

Final Thoughts

As soon as Jio launched all its new prepaid plans to the forefront, the other telecom companies came up with similar or better service offers for their users.

Reliance Jio and Airtel are offering 1-month validity plans to their low-income customers for free in this COVID19 pandemic situation. Bharti Airtel is the first company who took this initiative by providing free Rs. 49 recharge. After that, Reliance Jio has also started rolling out Rs. 98 plans to its customers.

If the 30 days prepaid plans come back in the upcoming days, then customers will have to do 12 instead of 13 monthly recharges in a year, which is the customer requirement. Reliance is requesting TRAI constantly to not interfere with this latest 30 days, 60 days, 75 days, 90 days, and 365 days plan. If TRAI does not intervene, we can expect to see more similar user-friendly prepaid plans in the coming days.
