  4. Click on Interface Setup on the Home page.
  5. Fill all the required fields in Internet option.
  6. Keep the encapsulation mode in PPPoA / PPPoE
  7. Provide the service name as BSNL.
  8. Username as given by your ISP and password as “password.”
  9. Scroll down and click on Save option.

Configure WiFi Settings

  1. Now Click on Wireless option from Interface Setup to activate Wi-Fi.
  2. Selected Activated in Access Point available in Access Point Settings.
  3. Go to Multiple SSID Settings.
  4. Type your WiFi display name in SSID field.
  5. Change WiFi password in the Pre-Shared key field.
  6. Select Deactivated in Wireless MAC Address Filter (Don’t forget to do this deactivation)
  7. Click on Save the changes.

Change Modem Login Password

  1. Select Maintenance option in Home page.
  2. Click on Administration.
  3. You will show a username by allowing new password options.
  4. Provide your new password as your choice in New Password and Confirm Password.
  5. Finally, don’t forget to pinch on SAVE option here.
  6. With this, your modem is ready with your new login password to connect to the world.

Disable UPnP, CWMP (if available) and Activate Access control list to provide secure IP addresses

  1. Select ACCESS MANAGEMENT in BSNL modem home page.
  2. Click on ACL (Access Control List).
  3. Provide secure IP addresses as 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.20.
  4. Click on SAVE.
  5. Tap to UPnP shown at the right side top of the sub menu.
  6. Click on Deactivated in UPnP.
  7. Tap to Deactivated in Auto Configured.
  8. Click on SAVE button.

Setup Modem Firewall

  1. Tap Advanced Setup
  2. Click on Firewall
  3. Select Enabled in Firewall and SPI
  4. Select Save.

Restart BSNL Modem

  1. Finally, Go to Maintenance in SysRestart.
  2. Select Current settings and click on RESTART

Make every PC/Laptop Ethernet IPV4 property as “Obtain IP Address Automatically.”
