The Test series will be included in the ICC World Test Championship from 2021 to 2023. The Board of Control finalized the trip for Cricket in India (BCCI) in September 2021.
The ICC FTP will honor its BCCI pledge by sending a Sri Lankan white-ball and red-ball team of specialists to India for a three-T20I bilateral series plus two Test matches against the Indian Cricket Team. The series will begin with two Test matches on February 25th and March 5th and conclude with a T20I series on 13, 15, and 18 March.
India vs. Sri Lanka: History
So far, 22 T20I matches between India and Sri Lanka have been played. India has won 14 of them, while Sri Lanka has won the remaining seven.
Sri Lanka’s next trip to India will include a team of white-ball and red-ball specialists composed of rookies and young players. As such, they will bear a great deal of responsibility to demonstrate their ability to make an impression via their performances in this upcoming season. After a hiatus, the two sides will meet in a T20I match. They last met in July 2021.
Test Series
The Test series will commence on February 25th, 2022, with both two matches being held at Bangalore’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium and Mohali’s Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium.
T20I Series
The T20 series will commence on March 13th, 2022, and will be contested in the Punjab Cricket Association’s IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali, the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association’s Dharamshala Stadium, and Lucknow’s Ekana Cricket Stadium.

Shikhar Dhawan is likely to lead the Indian side to Sri Lanka in 2021.
Sri Lanka was led by Kusal Perera in one-day internationals, whereas India was being led by Shikhar Dhawan. Both teams have been separated for an extended period of time. India and Sri Lanka last met in 2021.
