While strengthening market position, BSNL new SIM activation growth records a new number in October 2018. Despite of dynamic CMD repeated persuasion from Corporate including video conference with Sales & Marketing teams, 1.64 million of BSNL new SIM sales achieved in October 2018 after discontinuation of Aadhaar link.
On analyzing the circle wise BSNL new SIM activation performance, it is found that Andaman & Nicobar (118%} and Chhattisgarh (112%} Telecom Circles are able to achieved about the 100% of given target by BSNL corporate. For this BSNL CMD personally congratulate them for their outstanding performance.
Uttar Pradesh East, Kolkata, Gujarat, West Bengal, and Maharashtra have managed to achieve greater than 90% of their respective targets fixed for the month of October 2018 and all rest telecom Circles could not come close to their respective targets.
BSNL CMD once again requested all circles in achieving the BSNL new SIM activation fixed targets every month once with extra efforts to capture the growth and to sustain in the market in heavy competition. BSNL CMD personally review the reasons for shortfall in some circles and making all out efforts to achieve targets in the coming months. During various interactions with officers from Corporate Office and Circles, CMD have felt that there is still need to make concerted efforts with dedicated sales teams and educate them about their role.

In order to energize our sales staff and channel partners to focus on SIM sales. For increasing the BSNL new SIM activation and also instructed all heads of circles to hold weekly meetings with the sales· staff, franchisees and Feet on street (FoS).
