Being 5G-Ready Is Imperative To Organisations- Airtel Business

The findings from the latest Airtel Business Report suggest that telecom operators are in the perfect position to unlock immense potential using 5G networks for their enterprise customers. Such high-level partnerships will change the value proposition of telecom operators to avant-garde digital service providers.

Currently, the telecom leaders in India mainly function as network operators. With the advent of 5G technology, there could be a major revolution in the whole digitisation journey of the Indian Telecom Industry.

The report says that the driving forces behind the 5G networks are going to be:

“By leveraging existing network infrastructure, differentiation can further be created through the data centre and cloud offerings. Having software-driven networks that use AI/ML, predictive analytics, and automation allows CSPs (communication service providers) to provide faster, predictable, and secure networks,” Bharti Airtel’s B2B unit said in its report. “They [organizations] are exploring and trying to identify and build use-cases that will benefit from it [5G]. This has led many enterprises to now accelerate their offerings and bring 5 G-enabled edge computing devices to the forefront,”

Most business enterprises are already in the race to begin the rollout of 5g technology in their daily operations. Airtel Business Report states that being 5G-ready is an essential step to be adopted as the future of the global economy is highly dependent on being tech-savvy.

“Our scalable & low footprint private network solution is ready for enterprises to start their digitization journey now. It would help them to recognize greater agility, speed, security, and efficiency across their business functions and processes,” said Randeep Sekhon, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Airtel.
