Airtel Business, on the other hand, will be offering OCI- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to its business subscribers. Co-Innovation To Set Cloud Centre Of Excellence
The teamwork between Airtel and Oracle will result in the establishment of a Centre of Excellence for Cloud technology in Gurgaon.

The Plans Unveiled
Nxtra -the data centre subsidiary of Airtel will be supporting Oracle in its expansion plans across India West (Mumbai) region. The expanded circle is expected to be made available by 2022. Currently, Nxtra operates 120 edge data centres and 10 hyper data centres with plans to invest USD 760 million (Rs. 5000 cr) by the year 2025.
The company intends to widen its capacity 3-fold to more than 400 MW by 2025. Airtel Business will offer Oracle Cloud Solutions to one million enterprise customers in both the private as well as the public sector.
Guidance from the Cloud Centre of Excellence will assist in modernising Airtel’s internal workload and also enable subscribers to utilise all cloud facilities to their fullest advantage. There are also plans for a combined IP solution development which includes:

Unlimited Potential For Growth
With the merger between Oracle and Airtel, it is estimated that the public cloud market in India will receive a boost from USD 3.6 billion (2020) to USD 9.5 billion (2025). Also, with the advent of 5G services by 2022, The digital economy in India will experience a surge in cloud-based services and applications. The predicted number of Internet users in India is expected to reach 900 million by 2025 from 622 million in 2020.
