Airtel and Google join hands to pave way for a successful Indian Digital Transformation. The deal is for a multi-year partnership that will contribute in more than one way to structure a sound digital framework in the country.

According to the press release by Airtel, Google will invest $1 billion in this partnership. Out Of which, $300M will be invested towards probable multi-year commercial agreements and $700M will be for acquiring 1.28% ownership in Airtel.

The main focus of this powerful combination will be to make possible smartphone affordability pan India. This is going to accelerate the growth of the telecom sector. Considering the introduction of 5G in the near future and also, since it is a time when pursuing a green digital economy is gaining maximum momentum, Google-Airtel partnership will accelerate the efficient establishment of a sound cloud ecosystem.
