Bharti Airtel announces collaboration with TCS to implement Made in India 5G network solutions. Commercial development starts in January 2022.

Experts at TCS made an innovative breakthrough by developing a ‘state of the art’ O-RAN based Radio & NSA/SA Core. They succeeded in integrating a completely Indian made telecom stack with assistance from trusted partners. This will help align end-to-end solutions to O-RAN standards and 3GPP. The commercial development is scheduled to begin in January 2022.

As part of the Indian 5G rollout plan, Bharti Airtel will deploy this Made in India stack throughout the country. The Made in India 5G solutions are on par with global standards and will open a huge market of opportunities in the Indian Telecom industry.
